It's a constant uphill climb from the parking lot to the summit. It's steep like another hiker reported, not as steep as you might expect for the elevation gain over the distance. Black flies were fairly bad, even at the summit. Definitely recommend bug dope. No obstacles on the trail. It is well-maintained all the way up.
